In a time of fundamental limitations in components (processors, memory, storage, networking), and changing workloads, how might we design and operate our infrastructure more flexibly and efficiently? Innovation in fabrics and networking will be an important part of the answer. In this talk, Hans-Juergen presents challenges that Facebook faces, network solutions Facebook is working on to address the problems, and how elements of these solutions might influence adjacent technical industries.
