2018 OCP Regional Summit

This session introduces the latest generation of Facebook server hardware to EU OCP community, covering 1 Socket sever, 2x socket server, and machine learning server.   Yosemite V2 is the latest modular and SOC agnostic 1S platform. Twinlake is the latest generation 1S SOC server with Intel Skylake-D processors running in Yosemite V2.  Tioga Pass is the latest generation 2S servers with Intel Skylake-SP processors. In this workshop we will review these servers key features/improvements from our last generation servers.  Big Basin Volta is a refresh to the Big Basin GPU expander design announced in last year's OCP summit. In this talk, we will refresh the GPU expander design and talk about the upgrades besides the latest generation Nvidia GPUs, and we will also show some performance data improvement based on some key facebook services.
